Flu Shot
I have been in remission for a month and I am going for my yearly physical and wanted to know if I get a flu shot could it cause a flare up. I thought I read something on this topic but I can’t seem to find it. I would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks.

I am a teacher and before I was diagnosed in 2015, I got the flu shot every single year faithfully. After my MC diagnosis, I chose not to get it. I just made a choice to keep as much poison out of my body as I can. I use my essential oils (Thieves) faithfully right by my desk and in 4 years, I've had the flu one time, and it was because my husband dragged it home from work. It took me awhile to get over it, but I still will not get the flu shot! That's just my opinion though.

Hello. I won't get the flu shot, either. I got the flu two years ago, because I was very worn down from a stressful situation that I had been dealing with for months. I was not as bad as co-workers who had the flu vaccine and got the flu. I drank bone broth, took epsom salt baths, diffused essential oils and rested. To each his own, but I'm not taking any chances with the vaccine causing a flare.

I get my flu shot every year. I just got mine this week when I was in the clinic for another issue. Back in the late 90s, I came down with a very bad case of Bejing Strain A influenza. Couple of days in the hospital; sickest I have ever been.
I also have CRPS in my right foot (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) which can spread with trauma to other parts of the body and in very rare instances, even a shot like a vaccine can create havoc with this condition.
That being said, I'll take my chances and get a flu shot every year. Influenza is a big deal. 79,400 deaths worldwide during the 17-18 influenza season. Risk vs reward equation.

I got the flu shot three days ago. There was a a sore arm and some unusual fatigue for two days. The fatigue had a delayed onset. Nothing major. My partner has T1 diabetes so the stakes even higher. I don't want to be responsible for contagion. That being said I have NEVER had flu. Perhaps some are immune. But seemingly we can carry it still.
The only flu shot I had was the year of the Swine Flu issues. I haven't had one since. That being said, I did have what I think was the "flu" one time probably 20 years ago. I was SO VERY sick for two weeks. I have not had any issues since. I think an immunity to it naturally (from getting it) is better than a shot. Just my opinion. Deb
