CBD

Post by kariswalstad »

Hello! How do you folks feel about CBD in early recovery? I have found a water-soluble product and am taking twice a day, which I believe is helping with pain, and it does not contain any of my known allergens. I'd love your input. Thanks! Karis

I tried it for my dog's arthritis. It didn't help and he got pretty bad in a short amount of time. I have a lot of environment allergies, so I'm not going to try CBD. I tried marijuana one time and it made me feel horrible the next day.

I take THC free CBD made from hemp for osteoarthritis pain. It has helped and hasn't affected my MC.

Thank you both for your responses!

Brenda, is yours a tincture? I can't have TCH either, but I'm wondering if I'd get more/different relief from a tincture rather than this water-soluble product I'm using. My mom uses one and swears by it, but it's the full spectrum, which I can't have.

I've been taking it for arthritis type symptoms and it works well. I get mine from here: https://www.purespectrumcbd.com/

I take the tincture and sometimes the isolate. It's a little more expensive, but the guy that owns this is from my hometown and I know the product I'm getting is pure. They've been running tests on them out there and it's a crap shoot. I won't buy from anywhere else.

Great, Jari, thanks! p.s. I see you were brave enough to change your diet immediately after diagnosis; good for you. Are you in remission now? What would you say your best tips are? Thank you!

CBD Oil

Post by jnmast »

Hi Karis,
I believe the diagnosis of IBS/IBD (and my nutritionist/dietician says 'celiac') are included in the list of medical issues that actually qualify for medical marijuana scripts-- based on research, etc. on direct effects on gut and healing.

I've ONLY considered THC-free (non-full spectrum) CBD oil because I work in healthcare and will not risk testing + tests, etc.
I have not found a brand pure enough or strong enough that I feel comfortable using.... but continue to consider it based on the widespread positive effects of CBD, holistically, and also for GI issues.
I'd guess the right product would make a positive difference for anyone dealing with our issues, but then again we are all so different and sensitivities are wide-ranging and extremely delicate in early healing stages.
Welcome to the forum and best to you!

Jacqueline, is there enough TCH in full spectrum CBD to feel the TCH? (I understand your concerns about testing, etc)
