Linus Pauling Institute - xanthohumol

Post by KenG »

Hi all,

I've been following the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University for a few years and just saw their most recent newsletter that discusses the work they are doing on a hop-based extract called xanthohumol that appears to benefit the gut. This is the first micro nutrient or supplement that I've seen on the Linus Pauling Institute research.

I've just started taking a supplement of a version of this called XanthoForce - a brand name from one of the supplement makers. I have fairly mild MC symptoms once I started taking a daily antihistamine normally used for allergies so perhaps I'll wean myself off this antihistamine sometime soon.

The link to the research is below - I think I posted the URL correctly. Otherwise, search the Linus Pauling Institute for their newsletters and you'll find it.

Best regards,

Ken

Promising research. Wouldn’t it be great if they find a supplement from a plant source that could offset our inflammation from gluten—another plant source?

Fingers crossed. Thanks for sharing.
