There's nothing wrong with a second hole Shirley. You can wear some cute combination studs with a second hole. I have two in each ear but one has closed up and I need to re-do them. But that will wait til I am working. Love Oma

Momster pierced mine many years back...after a failed attempt by yours truly  . I got the second ones done in my early twenties but never wear anything except studs in them. The ones done professionaly hurt way more than the ones Mom did...go figure?

Good for you Shirl...now when are you getting the tat

You're the only other person I've heard say they pierced their ears the same way I did! Just like a Marine - be tough and get the job done . .

We should take a survey of peirced ears. So far everyone in this thread has them. Me too, though only one hole in each.

Hmmm, correleation between MC and piercings....

Ladies? Tex? Matthew? new guy?

BTW, I saw a new quote that is pretty good: "Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic."

I have two in each ear

Post by Momster »

Yup I have two in each ear. The first ones I did myself and the second ones years later.
I pierced Peggy's ears when she was quite young because she decided to do it herself and got into a bit of trouble so came to me and I decided it was definitely time if she was so determined as to try it herself.
I used an ice cube to freeze the lobe first and then pierced them with a darning needle. That's how we did it in the "old days". Hahaha.
Anyway, I found the same thing - the ones done professionally hurt more.
Go figure.

Love - Momster.

Kathy,

Hahahahahaha. Nope. No holes in my body that weren't there to begin with. LOL.

Yep, original holes were done by freezing the lobes with an ice cube and using a sterilized needle; second holes done by a pro.

I also have a third hole in the upper part of my right ear (making 3 in one ear and 2 in the left). I found that the third hole realllllly hurt until my daughter told me to replace the stud with a small hoop. No problems since. I

have found that wearing earrings in the upper (2nd) holes cause my ears to turn beet red and burn no matter what kind of earrings I wear. Hmmmmmmmmm, don't wear them often but enough to keep the holes open. One of these days I find a pair I can wear without any problems.

Good for you Shirley - I got my third hole on a dare from my daughter when she got hers done. Same way I got my tat - on a dare from the same daughter! hahahahha

Love,
Mars

 My aunt did my first ones with an ice cube and a needle too!!

I didn't think it hurt so bad this time. I had it done at a Piercing Pagoda at the Mall. The girl said she'd been doing them for 6 years. Sure it hurt for a few seconds but not that bad. The biggest trick is to not get infection later while they are healing. So far, so good.

I know you could handle it, Barbara. Go for it!! Then tell Louie you need an nice pair of diamond studs.

I don't think Bill has even noticed mine yet (definitely not diamonds....yet). If so he hasn't mentioned it. I sometimes like to see just how long it takes for him to notice things.

Hazel.............Hmmm, correleation between MC and piercings....
I doubt it. Seems like practically every woman in the states has at least one piercing.

Barb...........I don't like needles well enough to get a tat.......not likely to happen at all.

My mom was not too thrilled!
