The OWL Has Landed!!

Post by MaggieRedwings »

I received an beaded owl piece of jewelry that I ordered from Irene (Momster) and it is over the top fantastic. Her work is exquisite. She made it so it can be worn as a pin or a necklace. This is the woman to see when it comes to delicate, unique and beautiful hand-made beaded items.

Thank you so very much Irene.

Also, her sister is a knock-out artist.

Lot of talent in that family.

Love, Maggie

Maggie, can you or Irene post a picture of the owl? I loved the hummingbird and just wonder what the colors are and the design? I wish we could have long-distance beading lessons!

Hi All:

These little bead projects are what are keeping me sane these days. Keeps me occupied and out of trouble when I can create something pretty.
I'll try to post a picture of the owl
Nope - can't figure out how. I'll send it to Wayne.
I'm working on a bald eagle and making my own design. I made a little one, but need to refine it. I'm having fun anyway.
I'm still having virus symptoms - settled in my neck and shoulder and I can't sleep on my left side. I'm going to see the Dr. today to see if she can suggest something to help. Three weeks is enough - but I guess I'll just have to be patient and keep beading to take my mind off it.

Love - Momster

Picture of Owl

Post by Momster »

I'm having a hard time with this because I don't know what I'm doing, but here we go - trying again:

Nope - I can't do it - I'll wait until Peggy comes to my place on Friday to show me - I know I'm going to feel like a dummy when she shows me and it will be easy like everyone says.

I'm going back to my beading and calm down - I'm frustrated because I can't make sense of it.

Don't worry Mom - I'll come rescue you on Friday. If you really want it posted send me the pic at work and I'll post it for you. Then we can post a different pic on Friday. Whatever you want...

Hi Momster,

I hope you don't mind, but I added the image to your post, so that everyone wouldn't have to wait until Friday to see your work of art.

I apologize for not being able to clearly explain in my email, how to go about the proceedure. Peggy can do a much better job of explaining it to you, on Friday, and afer she shows you how to go about it, you'll by posting pictures like a pro.

Love,
Wayne

Wow! It's a snowy owl. I wasn't expecting that, although now that I think of it, you do live in Canada! It is BEAUTIFUL. Thanks Tex, and the artist of course, for sharing. Here is my favorite owl picture. It just makes me smile every time! I don't know who she is, but it's from the year we had the really cold winter and all the great gray owls went to Minnesota.

Thanks, Wayne:

For posting the picture for me. I'm sure your directions were clear, but my foggy brain just couldn't grasp it. I also read Mar's post in the tech. dept. and printed it out and tried to figure it out, but just couldn't do it.
Anyway, thanks for putting it in for me and I'll get step by step directions from Peggy on Friday.

Hazel - it's not quite a snowy owl, but close. I wanr to do one and when I do, it won't have the champagne coloured beads in it. I love the picture you posted of the woman with the owl. That's a neat owl.
