Hello MC-ers-
This is off topic but I'm hoping someone here has had experience with this disease or a family member has. I had a call recently from
a father whose daughter has endometriosis. She's 27 has had the disease since she was in her early teens, she has had 4 surgeries
for it and is still in a great deal of pain. She also has GI problems. The father was referred to me because my family and friends
know I have MC and could possibly offer some advice.
I'm hoping someone here knows of a website for endometriosis like ours that is supportive, knowledgeable and well run. This family
could really benefit from that kind of a support.
Thank you for any suggestions-Christina

I know very little about it, but this site appears to offer some helpful suggestions for treatment and prevention:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Hi Christina-
I highly recommend acupuncture for pain relief. Be sure the practitioner is licensed. There are clinical studies showing the effectiveness of treating pain with acupuncture. And no side effects, like pain meds have.
Also, she has plenty of reasons to have digestive issues, but if there is a family history of autoimmune diseases Enterolab tests might help to rule-in or rule-out if any foods are inflammatory.
Just a couple of random thoughts. I’m sorry that I don’t know of a support group for Endometriosis, similar to this group.
Best wishes,
Carol
