Acetaminophen

Post by ldubois7 »

Is there a readily available acetaminophen product that’s gluten, dairy, soy and CORN free out there?

I’m looking at children’s liquid acetaminophen, and while I found one that doesn’t contain corn, some of the other ingredients are scary..shellac?

Anyway, what do you use for headaches!

Maybe I'm atypical, but I haven't had a single headache since I changed my diet and reached remission. Growing up I had headaches, and when I began to react from digestive issues I had frequent migraines, but that all ended 15 years ago.

Tramadol might be a possibility, but apparently it loses efficacy if you use it often (according to the reference at the link below).

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Tex,
I haven’t had headaches my whole 59 years until a few months ago, with these ocular migraines.
I do have chronic nasal congestion, and am looking into decongestants like Sudafed to possibly thwart the headache that comes after the aura. I will keep your suggestion in mind. Thank you. 😊

bags of frozen peas and if it is really bad I tell my boyfriend to read all of the tylenol containers and pick up the one
with the least ingredients and I wing it, I also have my boyfriend review the generic options too

I believe there are some liquid tylenol options on the market now

Thanks, Brandy!
I talked to Tylenol as I was trying to find one that was free from corn, but they didn’t have one.
Are all Tylenol products gluten & dairy free?

Linda, I'm actually not sure. I know NSAIDS are contra indicated for us. I have not taken aspirin or advil
since my diagnosis.

It is actually rare that I take a tylenol. I take one maybe once every 2-3 years. Usually when I have pain
I'll take a steamy shower and see if it dissipates or use the bag of frozen peas.

I've never had a problem taking tylenol but I'm in a pretty solid remission.

Linda you might also try a personal steamer from the Drug store or Walmart. They run around $20. It generates steam
and you put the device up to your face and breath. There are no side effects to this. It clears the congestion through steam.
