CBD Oil
Recently published research shows that around 62 % of 99 previously-published research articles describing the benefits of CBD oil contain a serious conflict of interest, such as funding provided by the industry, or the author of the study was an employee of a CBD product marketing company.

Tex,
I would like to add my mom took CBD orally the last two months of her life. She had Parkinson's and Dementia. She became combative towards her caregivers in the group home where she lived. The medications the hospice doctor prescribed were not that effective. My brother and I decided we didn't have anything to lose giving her the CBD oil. It calmed her down. She was bedridden the last two weeks and ate very little. On Thursday before she passed on a Sunday the caregivers noticed she had lost her ability to swallow. Only thing she took after that was a 1/4 dropperful of CBD oil when she would get agitated. Since she could not swallow they would give the oil time to be absorbed and swab her mouth. At the beginning of the treatment she took the CBD oil in capsule form.
When she first started taking the CBD oil, the company we purchased it from told us sometimes the other medications need to be cut back. The oil can make other medications more effective (efficient ?). I forget the exact words they used. This was especially true for her Pankinson's medication. As a result she developed dyskinesia. When the carbo/levo was decreased slightly the dyskinesia stopped.

Brenda,
That's very interesting (and also very helpful). Thank you for sharing that information.
Deb,
Thank you for sharing, I didn't even realize that it was used for that purpose.

Since my MC has been under control for quite a while, I can only speak to other aspects of the drug. I have been mostly using the topical lotion, not the oral tinctures or capsules. Here is what I have found.
1. I had some foot pain, that had the symptoms of plantar fasceitis. After a week of rubbing in the lotion twice a day, the pain went away and hasn't returned after a year.
2. A big toe joint gets sore from time to time, and CBD lotion twice a day really helps.
3. I developed shingles about 6 months ago. Neither the CBD lotion nor the oral tincture helped. I had high hopes, since the only FDA approved use for CBD is treating a rare form of epilepsy in kids. It seems to desensitize nerves in the brain, and I thought it might desensitize the sensory nerves inflamed and damaged by the shingles virus. But it didn't.
4. Helps with osteoarthritis soreness in hands.
5. Helps with sleep, as I fall back asleep easier when I wake up. But it also changed my dreams, although not in a bad way...... just different.

I have tried taking CBD oil in the evening and have found that it does help me to relax and get a better night's sleep.
I also have tried 1:1 CBD/THC - it did not make me feel "high" at all - just helped with anxiety.
Best wishes to all - I haven't been posting much lately but still check in regularly and get great ideas and inspiration from you all -

I am in remission so my feedback is different. I broke my neck approximately 13 years ago getting bucked off a horse. I have incredible neck pain and had tried some topical ointment in a cream form (that my nephew tells me is VERY strong) and it provided no relief at all. Hubby has tried it for his headaches with little relief as well.
I have been taking CBD oil daily for 3 years. I take it for anxiety, and it works better for me than other medications, and I have no side effects.
In terms of MC, this helps eliminate one trigger of a flare up, anxiety.
But my other triggers can still happen and when I have a flare up, The CBD only helps with the anxiety of the flare up, not the symptoms.
Flare ups still require an endicort treatment and elimination diet to back to normal.

I am in Canada.
Before it became legal here I used to order from nuleafnaturals.com in Colorado; now I am able to buy it locally.
I use a CBD oil that is 100% CDB and 0% THC mixed with MCT oil, made from a hybrid plant.
I personally take 25MG/ML daily but the problem with CBC is finding an effective dosage that works.
There are no guidelines and I had to experiment with difference dosages to find the best amount that worked. You want to find the amount that gives you the benefit you are looking for at the lowest dosage so you are using the least amount possible as it is expensive to buy.

I order mine from White Lion CBD. They have a web page as well as a Facebook page. If you have any questions, they are usually very responsive. This is a link to the web page. https://whitelioncbd.com/
