Hi Paul,

I thought I had a post in here regarding the pepper, and your post seems to confirm that. I must have tried to edit it and hit the wrong key and sent it into outer space. Yes, if she's better today, waiting two or three days before resorting to budesonide would be more logical than caving in sooner. I hope she's back on track by then.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

She does seem to be getting better. No "accidents" yesterday and only one BM and that one was about a Bristol 6. I think she will be back on track in a few days. Glad to gotten your advice! Thanks

Hi everybody, Paul here, again, finally! My computer died and I had to get another and, of course, I lost all the stored passwords. I took me forever to come up with the right combination of User name and password for Charlene. (I wrote it down this time!) Charlene's WD has really taken off the last few months. She's having episodes 8 to 15 times daily. I did get her an appointment with a GI doctor at Mayo Clinic who specializes in CC. From her profile information she seems to really understand this condition and discusses diet a lot.
Of course, her appointment was right at the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak and the day before her appointment they called and cancelled and said they were not seeing patients during stay-at-home period.
I spoke to them yesterday and they are going to set up a video appointment for her in the next few days. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Hi Paul. Sorry to hear that WD is back for Charlene. You know it could be that you introduced a new food that seemed to be ok at first, but is now an issue. I've been in a tentative remission for about 3 months. I keep trying to add a few safe foods, but one day I can eat something and then the next day it is a problem. I haven't decided whether to keep trying (but very small quantities and only 1 experiment per day) or just go back to meat, rice, banana for now. The other possibility I wanted to mention is that Charlene could have developed an intolerance to one of her safe foods. I ate a lot of chicken the first few months that I was on a really restrictive diet, but then I developed an intolerance to that and also to eggs. Good luck and please keep us posted.
