Fifth day of feeling horrible. When does this nausea and diarrhea stop? I eat and poop. Feel so yucky. I’m drinking pedialyte. What else can I eat that won’t give me diarrhea and make me puke?i can’t even get off the couch or bed except to go to the bathroom. Can’t get off the couch or bed.

Sorry you're feeling so poorly, Daba. I ate a lot of rice for a while. It was about the only thing that didn't cause pain but it still took a few weeks for the diarrhea to slow down. If you haven't yet, consider Enterolab. It can really help to decide what to eat.

Hi Daba,

All health care is expensive these days. Most of us consider the money we spent on those tests to be the best investment we ever made in our long-term health. At least the Enterolab rest results are accurate and reliable. That's a lot more than I can say for the medical approach for treating MC. The medical approach gives only temporary relief (if it works at all), and it doesn't even do that for a lot of people.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I ate chicken and rice for about 5-6 months, every time I was hungry. This helped me to heal and then I was slowly able to add more things back in slowly. I also did the Enterolabs because I wanted to know what I could tolerate! It will get better in time. I was right where you are at one time and it seemed like forever. There is an end in sight. Don't give up!
