maybe a wierd question? Water??
as you all know my lc is in a huge flare. One change is that I bought a new house a few months ago. It is awesome but on a different water supply. I am also a fish tank hobbiest. I have 5 tanks. In my new house many of my fish started dying....did water tests and my water ph is between 5.9 and 6.0. My old house with no fish deaths is a ph of. 6.8 to 7.0.
Could the acidic nature of my new house be the thing that is messing me over?

It definitely could. If the water is bad enough to cause fish deaths, something is very, very wrong. That's a big pH drop, and I can't help but wonder if that water has other problems as well.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
One of my friends would always take water from home (or bottled water) for herself and her dogs when traveling, as she said that different water would sometimes upset their digestive system and give them diarrhea........ not what you want when traveling! So I could see where different water in your new house might be a problem. You could try drinking bottled water and using it for cooking. And also easy enough to get a detailed water analysis beyond just the pH.
I hope you can soon find an answer to what set off your flare!!

I am sensitive to water changes....I drink filtered water from our fridge even though our small town is supplied by 4-5 underground aqua lines from the mountains, but because they have to treat it with chlorine I filter it before drinking. I cook with it and it is one of the best tasting waters in South Eastern Washington but it can still upset my LC situation.
On my trip across country last July I brought a small 1 oz container of ReMag with me and sea salt in a shaker and another 1 oz of liquid Biotics Nano Silver and cleaned up my water with it and drank all my water with these additions and did really great.

I am doing better. Talked with mayo clinic Dr who was well versed in mc. He said the same things I've come to expect....basically food doesn't play a big role and that leaky gut juncture don't make us intolerant to many foods. However he did recommend to me to take Fibre at bed time and then immodium after my first bm in the morning. I haven't dont the fibre part yet....but taking 1 immodium in the morning has me much better. I stopped the chloyestrimine and found that it was binding me up too much with the immodium.
I have also started to exercise again....currently running around 2 miles a day followed by a long cool down walk. Hopefully increased activity will help regulate my gut? So far so good. Still only eating rice turkey and beef. Mc is always a up and down struggle it seems.
