I hope everyone has a great weekend. I am going to see how this works and hope for no bad results but....I made Fried chicken (conola Oil) good old country pan gravy. Mashed potatoes.

You too--have a great weekend. Hope the chicken agreed with you.

Thought you'd like to know that even though I live in the city the deer eat the flowers out of everyone's backyards. My neighbor put in some pansies and they were gone the very next morning! I put some in boxes edging my front porch and they haven't found them yet. That would take some nerve to walk up my stairs onto my porch to eat my flowers, but I wouldn't put it past them.

:knitting: <--Oma having fun!

Sounds like you had a nice day.

I was disappointed when I woke up this morning to find I wasn't feeling well enough to go out with my Sister and my two Girls. Peggy and Lisa understood and actually neither was feeling too well either, so we postponed it for two weeks (pencilled in, anyway). My Sister would have liked for us to all be together also - we all have a lot of fun when we get together, but it wouldn't do to spread our germs around. Sharing is wonderful in a family, but sharing germs is not the best way to show your love.

Anyway, I spent the day designing some new patterns for my beaded birds and put a pot roast and some veggies in the slow cooker and let it simmer all day. Sure was good and John loved it.

We had a sunny day, but windy and I didn't stick my nose out the door - just enjoyed the view from the patio window.

Tonight is more figure skating - I think it's the women's free skate tonight. I watched the men's final last night and the man from Switzerland sure deserved his medal. There were some other very good performances too and it was an entertaining evening.

Anyway, you all have a nice weekend too. I'm going to stay warm and rest lots and try to beat this virus. The doctor says anywhere from four to six weeks and I'm on week three already, so hopefully will feel better soon.

Love - Momster

Once when I lived in Utah, ww had a really bad winter and it drove the deer down into town, they ate everyones evergreens and anything available including all the hay around anything they could get to. So the farmers all decided to put fruit, corn and other things the deer would eat in the apple and orange orchards. I lived along a tourist fruit and veggie route. ANyway, it didn't help much so everyone in town (about 8,000 people) all put out corn for the deer. We had em running thru the drive thrus and bank parking lots. It was a joke that year that when you went to town to shop, watch for the deer. Love Oma
