Starbucks pumpkin ground coffee probably ok

Post by MomLady »

In case anyone is interested, I got a reply back from Starbucks after asking them about the "natural flavors" listed in their seasonal pumpkin spice ground coffee bags one can buy at Sam's Club, etc. While it is not certified GF or SF, it should be ok:

"Hello Janet,

My name is Derick and I am a Specialist with Starbucks Coffee Company. I am contacting you in regards to your request for nutritional information. Please see the below information.

'The Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Flavored Ground Coffee is not certified as gluten-free but does not include ingredients grains that have gluten. This coffee does not include ingredients derived from soy.' "

Hope this helps someone!

Thank you!

I thought I would chime in that I'm okay with the almond milk hot chocolate at Starbucks. I tell them to hold the mocha drizzle and hold the whipped cream. I don't think it is "certified/tested gluten free".

Glad to return some tiny bit of the help I have received here! Makes sense to me that serving in-store they cannot guarantee GF due to cross-contamination issues. My concern was for the prepackaged ground coffee. I haven't gone out at all since July and am still early in my (hopeful) recovery.
