Colitis flare up and Covid19
Hello,
I am wondering if there is anyone else in this group going through a flare up and infected with Covid19 at the same time.
I was in a flare up for five months when I received a positive diagnosis with Covid. Was extremely careful not socializing, not shopping, wearing a mask or even two.)
Would like to share experiences if there is anyone out there.
The watery diarrhea (2 times a day) continues but the worst post Covid symptom that is most difficult to deal with
is a complete lost of taste (constant unpleasant taste in the mouth) and numbness at the roof of the mouth.
Please be very careful out there. I think I was overly careful and it happened to me. Maybe at an integrative doctor's office?

They didn't offer anything as Covid treatment.
I had to stay home and treat myself.
Large doses of vitamin D and C for the first two weeks, zinc, magnesium, gluthatione, herbal anti-viral herb caps from my chiropractor.
He was the only one who had some ideas about how to help me.
I took APAP paracetamolum (from Polnad)for fever and pain.
I had lots of scary symptoms and they continue with new ones appearing 30 days after the test
(loss of taste, chemical taste, yellow roof of my mouth which feels numb or tinggling)
Loss of smell which happened right at the the beginning has returned but not the taste (almost a month without it)
This virus in some people that are considered "recovered" has long lasting effects

Re: Colitis flare up and Covid19
I started into a flare about three days before my positive covid test. At first i chalked it up to stress since I work in healthcare, and was working twelve hour shifts non stop with no days off. When I was placed on quarantine I thought things would get better with rest and recovery. My flare isnt as severe as it was but still not over. I lost my sense of taste and smell just over two weeks ago and it has yet to return completely.
