I had not used Loperamide before since I have been diagnosed with CC over 5 years ago. What I have used in the past had been Pepto and then of course Budesonide (which works great). I have been having a flare for last week and started taking Loperamide. It was for sure working as far as slowing things and thickening things a little so I was happy with that. Late yesterday and last night I was feeling pretty bloated. I just had some Bone Broth for dinner. A few hours later I started feeling nauseous and went to bed. I kept feeling like I really needed to go potty so got on the pot and glad I grabbed the trash can as I threw up a few times as well as lots of D. Then felt absolutely fine and went back to bed and slept great. No more bloated feeling either. I have never thrown up since my diagnosis. Has this happened to anyone else? I was maybe wondering if I reacted to the Loperamide?
As always, appreciate so much all of your help!

Re: LOPERAMIDE
Maybe, because even though most people tolerate it very well, I can't use it because even half-a-tablet makes me dizzy.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Re: LOPERAMIDE
I was fine taking Walmart brand until they changed their formula. Then it made me really nauseous. So I stick to taking the brand name, Imodium.
