Turmeric supplements
Is anyone taking turmeric supplements? Supposed to be good for inflammation.
Re: Turmeric supplements
I take them now for another health situation but I am in a solid long term MC remission.
I could not tolerate them early on when I first got MC.
An easy way (low risk way) to see if you can tolerate it is to sprinkle curry powder or turmeric in your food.
For years I could tolerate a bit of curry powder in food but no way could I tolerate turmeric supplements.

Re: Turmeric supplements
Thank you Brandy! I've had an interesting development. I started the elimination diet about 6-7 weeks ago. It helped, but didn't totally eliminate D. I had been taking supplements of Vit D3, multivitamin, turmeric and magnesium. I decided, because of reading that D is a side effect of these supplements, to stop taking all of them to see what would happen. Within 2 days my D was gone. I kept on the diet for a few more weeks, then began adding back in. I am staying clear of gluten still, but adding some dairy (no cheese or yogurt, mostly just half an half in coffee), eggs, and some soy but not much. I'm still doing great, no D and feeling so much better. I am able to eat gluten free bread as well. I am not wanting to make any more changes now because I am able to find plenty to eat and feeling so good.

Prunella,
Yes, if you are doing good keep doing what you are doing.
