How to reduce elevated serum Copper

Post by Healthy2021 »

Hi, I am a new member and very happy to have found this valuable resource via Praline Noel's You Tube and reference to the book and this group!
I have multiple auto-immune diseases including microscopic colitis and been dealing with flare last 3 weeks - now on Pepto Bismol regime. Have numerous MTHFR / methylation issues working with a licensed DO specializing in MTHFR but doesn't really understand impact of MC.
4 weeks ago test results for Copper (high) and Zinc (low) were found to be opposite of what they should be -- been taking molybdenum (1,000/day) to clear out copper and increased zinc to 15 mg /day and very disappointed in the repeat test results done this week - Copper INCREASED! I have checked all my supplements and the foods eating and can't figure out how copper has increased and not decreased. I have had a severe MC flare last 3 weeks taking pepto bismol and don't know if that has anything to do with this. Has anyone had success in reducing elevated serum copper levels into an acceptable range and if so, what approach did you use?
