Loud Bowel Sounds

Post by Janie »

Been in remission, since my last head cold in 2018. But the last 2 months, I have had loud ship horn bowel sounds. Haven't changed my diet in 2 years. Am I eating too much of something or any ideas? I tried googling it and just says it is related to IBD. But didn't say how to get rid of it. :mallet: Thanks for you help you guys.

Hello Janie,

Those loud sounds almost surely mean that you're ingesting something that doesn't agree with you, and your inflammation level may be getting to a point where you may begin to react. Think back to when your remission began. What foods and/or supplements and/or medications have you added since then? Look at them carefully, and check their ingredients. Especially, consider the items that you've added beginning a few weeks before those loud noises began. If none of them appear to be suspicious, it's possible that you may have developed a new intolerance. For example, if you weren't sensitive to soy previously, avoid it for a week or two to see if that stops the noise. If you're lucky, you may be able to stop that sound before you begin to react.

Thanks, I'm probably doing better than I deserve, for an old codger. You know, if that's been going on for two months, with no other symptoms, it has to be a pretty minor issue. I've never heard of that before, so maybe a reaction is not imminent.

Chocolate is a high-histamine food.
