Is pure Monk Fruit ok?

Post by emlepage1 »

Hi,

My symptoms are so much better since getting my Entero Lab test results back and avoiding all of the foods that tested positive for sensitivity (only 1 BM per day). I use pure monk fruit in the morning and sometimes a little at lunch. It seems to agree with me fine however I do not want to do anything that may impede healing.

Does anyone know if I may be hindering my recovery by using the monk fruit? I can not tolerate honey, maple syrup or any fruit so it really is the only way to enjoy something with a sweet flavor. It does not have any additives in it at all. I know that I do not tolerate xylitol or any other sweeteners , I do not even do well with stevia.

Thank you,
Elaine

Hi Elaine,

I've never noticed anyone posting about a negative experience after eating Monk fruit, but then I've never noticed any posts about it, for that matter. As long as you don't overdo it, so that the fiber becomes an issue, you should be okay, to the best of my knowledge.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
