Where do I start - EnteroLab Results are Depressing!
I received my test results this week from EnteroLab.
I reacted to every single food that was tested: Gluten, Dairy, Egg, Soy, Oat, Rice Chicken, Beef, Pork, Almond, Cashew, Corn, Tuna, Walnut, White Potato.
Just trying to figure out where to start -- If I could find a couple of meal options to begin....then I can slowly add a new food one at a time?
Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Could you post more details about your results? The actual scores are needed, especially Panel C1. The overall food sensitivity number can make a big difference in the interpretation of the results.
It can be daunting to start out on a new diet, but we are here to help.

Re: Where do I start - EnteroLab Results are Depressing!
Thanks Rosie. Here are my scores:
Anti-gliadin IgA - 111 units
Anti-casein (cow's milk) IgA - 28 units
Anti-ovalbumin (chicken egg) igA - 46 units
Anti-soy IgA - 20 units
Mean Value 11 Antigenic Foods - 34 units
Moderate Immunological reactivity (2+):
Oat, Rice, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Almond, Cashew
Significant and/or the most immunological reactivity (3+):
Corn, Tuna, Walnut, White Potato
Grains: Most immunologic reactivity: Corn
Grains: Intermediate immunologic reactivity: Oat
Grains: Least immunologic reactivity: Rice
Meats: Most immunologic reactivity: Tuna
Meats: Next Most immunologic reactivity: Chicken
Meats: Intermediate immunologic reactivity: Beef
Meats: Least immunologic reactivity: Pork
Nuts: Most immunologic reactivity: Walnut
Nuts: Intermediate immunologic reactivity: Almond
Nuts: Least immunologic reactivity: Cashew
Nightshades: You displayed immunologic reactivity to White Potato.
I'm just not sure what all of it means other than I need to cut some of these foods out of my diet in order to heal.
Maybe I should be contacting EnteroLab for a consultation.
Open to any advice please. Thanks again.

Indeed, you have quite a few food sensitivities.
Here is what Tex has posted in the past, for those in your situation.

Here is what Tex has posted in the past, for those in your situation.
We are here to help with further questions as you start your journey back to health. You will need to cook everything from scratch, using simple, safe foods. Avoid all the so-called gluten-free commercially-processed products, and minimize fiber and sugar while recovering. Sipping bone broth (made from turkey or lamb bones), during the day may help you to recover. For safe foods, virtually no one reacts to turkey or lamb. Most wild-type meats are also safe. Examples are venison, rabbit, duck, goose, pheasant, quail, emu. etc. Keep some safe, cooked meals frozen in serving-size containers in case you need to warm up something to eat in a hurry. For many of us, our breakfast looks like any other meal. We eat warmed up leftovers from the previous day's meals.
Since you even react to rice, that leaves only the more uncommon grain substitutes, such as quinoa and amaranth. The safest vegetables are usually carrots, squash, cauliflower, asparagus, and green beans; but if you're sure that some of these bother you, choose according to what your body tells you. All vegetables should be peeled and overcooked. Absolutely no raw vegetables or fruit, except for banana, but if bananas bother you in larger servings, that suggests that you might be sensitive to histamines. So you will need to strictly limit high-histamine foods, if that's the case. Avoid the so-called "coffee creamers". Most of them contain casein, the protein in milk to which we are sensitive. No artificial sweeteners. Virtually all of us react adversely to aspertame. It takes a while to heal the digestive system, but patience and perseverance will get results.

Hi,
I can't add much to Rosie's suggestions, she appears to have you on the right track. I noticed that rice is listed as your least reactive grain. Your overall score on those 11 antigenic foods is rather high at 34 (so this might not work), but if you crave some variety, you might be able to get away with eating rice now and then, just don't overdo it by eating it two or three days in a row. And don't eat it at all, if it seems to bother you.

Thank you for your replies.
I am starting off with turkey and venison for now....will see how it goes. Thank you for the advice.

Just a work of caution to be careful with the turkey you buy. Much ground turkey contains plant extracts used to preserve the meat, like rosemary extract. These extracts are usually contain soy oil, which will cause you to react. Frozen ground turkey often is OK, but always check to make sure your turkey doesn't contain anything extra.

Re: Where do I start - EnteroLab Results are Depressing!
Can anyone tell me if fish is a safe protein? Since my lab results show reactivity to beef, chicken, pork and tuna, I am hoping that I may be able to tolerate fish (other than tuna). Thinking of salmon, walleye, bass, talapia, mahi-mahi, etc. I believe I read that shellfish (shrimp, prawns, oysters, clams) are ok if there wasn't a pre-existing allergy.
Re: Where do I start - EnteroLab Results are Depressing!
Often, when tuna is a problem, salmon are also a problem. Fresh water fish might be a possibility worth a try. Yes, shellfish should be OK.

Thank you Tex. I think I will give it a whirl -- especially since we live on a great fresh water fishing lake.

Your results look exactly like mine so reading these replies has been very helpful. I have not been able to find ground turkey without added Rosemary. I am curious where people find it. Maybe it is ordered online?

Re: Where do I start - EnteroLab Results are Depressing!
Your best bet is to look for frozen ground turkey if you just want pure turkey with no rosemary extract or flavorings. I have found it at Whole Foods in the past, Diestel ground turkey. It contains organic vinegar, so should be OK. You can also find it frozen ground turkey on-line, but of course usually have to order at least 5 lbs at a time, so need enough freezer room.
Good luck!

Re: Where do I start - EnteroLab Results are Depressing!
Hi,
My husband was diagnosed several months ago with MC after taking a study drug for Bladder Cancer.
He is on his second round of Budesonide and is tolerating chicken, turkey, potatoes, squash, olive oil, coconut oil, almond milk, rice Chex and bone broth. Thanks to Tex for finding bone broth recipe links, I think I am on the right track making that from scratch.
I have been reading about the EnteroLab tests and if we can afford those recommended, we might like to give those a try.
I have looked at the EnteroLab website. Which specific tests would be the recommended ones and we will see what we can afford.
All information is greatly appreciated.

Hi Linda,
Most people order the A1 plus C1 test panels, because those tests cover all of the foods that normally can cause problems for MC patients. The combination of those two panels is currently being offered for the discounted price of $399, apparently.
Here's a direct link to those tests:
