I was diagnosed with LC in April and have been on Budesonide since. I quit all NSAIDS as I’m sure they contributed to LC. I was doing ok but I have arthritis and a herniated disc in my back. Am also fused due to prior back surgery and have degenerative disc disease. Over the last few days something triggered my back snd I can barely stand up. I’ve been forced to take muscle relaxers and diclofenac again due to the pain. Is it going to cause a flare while I’m still on Budesonide? Any other suggestions to handle the back pain without NSAIDs?
Thanks
Mary

Re: Pain medication
The budesonide may be able to protect you from a flare. The gluten-free and dairy-free diet resolved my arthritis, but I still get lower back pain these days if I abuse my back by overdoing it.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Bags of frozen peas and ice packs?
Agree with Tex, eliminating gluten and dairy took away my chronic pain.
Would suppository tylenol be an option?
