Update on my LDN journey--MC GONE!!!

Post by wmonique2 »

Hello friends,

After nearly 8 years on LDN I finally decided to have a colonoscopy. I have been taking a microscopic quantity of LDN and have felt very good for over 7 years. No issues whatsoever of any kind. I got the results of the colonoscopy last week: NO MICROSCOPIC COLITIS. I continue to be cautious with my diet. I have eliminated grains as well and most carbs but mostly for blood sugar control.

I wish healing to all of you. This forum gave me the support when I needed it most and Tex has been and continues to be our solid rock.

Much love to all my friends.

Hello Monique,

I've been waiting for someone else to respond, but I guess no one knows what to say. You've obviously done a great job with your diet, if your biopsy results showed that you now have normal intestinal cellular histology, with no sign of MC. That's a goal that has proven to be very elusive for many of us. Most of us slip up on our diet now and then, and that interferes with our healing to the extent that we never quite get rid of the cellular evidence of MC.

You probably have more experience with LDN than anyone else here, and obviously it has worked well for you. Kudos to you. I hope your remission continues without letup. Many thanks for posting this success story. It's always enjoyable to read success stories — especially long-term success stories.

Much love to you, too,

Tex

Fantastic achievement! And your earlier posts were the main influence in my trialing LDN, which, thus far, is going well!

Cheers,
Paul

That I'd amazing!!

I have heard great things about LDN from a local pharmacist who has a compounding pharmacy and makes/sells it. She wanted me to try it last year for Ross River Virus symptoms. I didn't in the end, but was just reading this last night and thought I might chat to her again when I had to take my daughter to a doctor as she had jumped off our bed and cut her head. We made the only appointment with the only doctor we could find 20mins from home and during the appointment I randomly mentioned not having wanted to go to Emergency and spend all night there as I have an IBD and hadn't eaten and was starving, but could barely eat anything etc. Anyway....the GP started telling me about his interest in IBDs and treating them with LDN and/or CBD oil!! He has seen great results for people with Chron's. How random!! He also knows the pharmacist who works near where I live. Sooo...I'm going to make an appointment with him asap and start LDN. I don't think I want to try CBD oil though.

Oh and is it safe to take for so long?
Do you plan on stopping it?

It’s the safest drug I have ever taken. The amount is very small. I have been taking it for 8-9 years. Even though I no longer have MC I will continue taking it for other issues. I only take 1 mg 3 times a week. Good luck.

Thank you Monique.

I am feeling excited about trying it. Yesterday's events felt too coincidental, like a message/push for me to do it. :)

I plan on starting this too. Very soon….and hopefully I can do the slow 3-4 month taper of budez and then LDN continued for who knows. I just need a different type of relief and hope these changes will help.

Monique,

Considering that you're controlling T-1 diabetes and MC, and possibly a few other issues, for all I know, this is a great accomplishment. You've proven that no matter how complex our health problems might be, there's a solution somewhere out there for us, if we can just find it. And the key to finding it is the dedication and insight needed to keep searching until we find it. Kudos to you for succeeding so well.

Love,

Tex

Thank you Tex. It does require a special mindset to search and find solutions and the discipline to follow diets and protocols. :pigtail:

I must have missed this post in my casual coming and going....this is outstanding news Monique! If you have a moment can you share what you ultimately ended up with as a diet? I know there is plenty that goes with LC/MC/CC, but I'm sure this is 1/2 the battle while hoping complete healing comes along one day for all of us. I will re-read this post to find how much you started with and how you tapered to get where you are today.

I didn't know, or at least I hadn't followed as closely to realize you had a couple underlying health conditions as well, so this news makes me smile for you  Congratulations that you found a system that worked for you :pulsinghearts: PS you are correct that Tex has been a solid rock to many of us

I wish you continued health!
Cheers
