Prostate

Does this lovely disease affect the prostrate? I have had a bad couple of days. and I noticed
that my meds are not working as well?

Hi Billy,

The disease itself should have no direct effect on the prostate, since it's not part of the digestive system. But any Medications you're taking to treat the MC might affect the prostate. Although most medications used to treat MC are anti-inflammatory, it's possible to be allergic to some of them

That said, if the disease is active, the inflammation that's associated with it can affect any part of the body. So from that aspect, it can cause increased inflammation of any organ in the body. That's why this chronic systemic inflammation can cause other autoimmune diseases to develop if the MC is not controlled.
