Hello
I am about to go gluten free. I read somewhere (I think) that within "x" amount of time, I would feel a difference, like know it is helping. If that is correct, can someone tell me the timeframe of that. I recall a couple of days, but I am not sure. Thank you!

Re: how long off gluten before you can tell if it helps
We're all different, and the time to remission can vary from two or three days at one extreme, to a year or more at the other, depending on the extent of our intestinal damage, and the sensitivity level of our immune system. Most of us are able to see significant benefits within three or four weeks, as long as we don't overlook any inflammatory foods, and accidentally allow them to remain in our diet.

Thank you so much. And I recently bought your book, "Microscopic Colitis." It is a wealth of information. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge.

You're very welcome. Like everyone else here, I learned much of it the hard way. And then I decided to research the medical literature to try to discover everything I could learn about anything that might help, that the doctors were ignoring. And, of course, I learned a lot from the experiences that were shared by other members share.
I hope you're one of the lucky ones, and you'll be able to get to remission quickly.
