Research on Enterolab stool tests?

Post by Sonia »

Is there any published research about Enterolab stool tests? As I look into doing this, I'm just trying to acquire more information before plunking down $400. I see that Dr. Fine has published about other things but I can't find anything about the stool testing. Thanks for any info.

Hi Sonia,

The world is full of skeptics. In a world dominated by social media, and corrupt websites, we become brainwashed to the point where we don't believe anything we see, anymore. For example I don't do social media, but I've seen so many corrupt published peer-reviewed medical research articles, that I no longer trust any published medical conclusions. In fact, published medical research proves that more than half the conclusions of published medical research articles, are absolutely false. So what are we going to believe? The gold standard test for me, is whether or not something works. If it works, it's valid. If it doesn't work, it's not valid. It's as simple as that.

EnteroLab has performed many thousands of tests over the last couple of decades. I have personally reviewed many hundreds of comments from patients who have utilized those test results. I don't recall ever seeing a review from someone who claimed that the test was a waste of their money. Instead, the most common remark I see from virtually everyone who uses these tests, is that it was the best money they ever spent for their healthcare.

Obviously, this is just my opinion, and for all I know, you might be the first person who becomes disappointed by their tests. So if you don't trust the tests that most of us use, please don't order them. On the other hand, if you want to save many weeks or months of trying to sort out your food sensitivities by trial and error, order these tests. Then, if you find that they're not the best money you ever spent on your healthcare, you can post about it here, and warn everyone else about your unhappy experience. We would appreciate it, because among the thousands of posts that have been entered here, there are none discrediting the actual accuracy of the EnteroLab tests, unless I've been overlooking them.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Thanks so much for the links and for your response. I'm working through your book and I'm very grateful for the research you have done! I am not a skeptic, just someone trying to make informed decisions. These are all new ideas for me after over a decade of working with a variety of GIs who have offered me little help, and so I'm trying to absorb what I can before making decisions about how to proceed.

With gratitude and Happy New Year!

Hi Sonia, I was you a few months ago and I’ll admit, I’m a skeptic. I was trying to decide if it was worth spending the money or not. I opted not to and tried an elimination diet to find answers. I was still having issues even on Budesinide, though not as bad. I was tested for Celiac and that was negative. I could not pinpoint what was still bothering me. I decided spend the money and to try the Enterolab testing.
When I got the results, it was eye-opening! I basically had to completely revamp what I was eating. For instance, chicken is usually recommended for eating. For me, it’s a major trigger. I’m still making changes based on the results but so far, I consider this to be a great investment for me. I have noticed positive changes such less bloat, more energy, and way less diarrhea.
I can’t tell you it’s the best bet for you but for me, it has been.
