Food Tasting for Wedding

Post by Marcia K »

Good morning. Last evening I attended a food tasting session for my son's upcoming wedding. My future daughter made sure that they had gluten free options (bless her heart), but they weren't all dairy free. I ate some things that I won't eat at the reception even though they are gluten free, and I had a lot of gas afterwards even though I took two Gas-X prior to eating and I took two more afterwards. I drank Vita Coco coconut water when I got home and that did settle things down a bit. Does anyone take anything for gas other than Gas-X? I don't want to have issues at the reception, thankfully it held off until we left the venue last evening. I'll be dancing at the reception and I don't want to be leaving a trail behind me. Have a great day, everyone!

You might want to test Beano, which contains a digestive enzyme that breaks down the carbs most likely to cause gas, thus preventing gas. GasX just breaks down large gas bubbles into smaller ones so that you aren't as uncomfortable, but doesn't prevent gas from forming. But of course there are a number of different substances that can cause gas, and Beano most likely helps with some but not all.

Thanks, Rosie. I've never tried Beano, but I will now.
