Banatrol

Post by Arleeda »

Pharmacy has been out of prescription colestipol, which I take for my MC, for almost a month due to shortages. After a web search, I came across a supplement called Banatrol and ordered it while resorting to Imodium as a stopgap. I tried Banatrol and after two weeks dropped the Imodium--lo and behold, just one scoop of Banatrol each morning gives me (almost, still skinny but solid and not urgent) b.m. I really didn't expect this, but I am relieved as I am quarantined after a positive COVID19 test. I was hoping to take Northern Lights cruise and now I can't, but I had few symptoms--mild sore throat, no fever and I am fully vaccinated. I only hope it lasts! or at least until colestipol is again available.

That's interesting. Thanks for sharing that information.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Banatrol has worked for me...two scoops in the morning and I'm good to go. When I first started, I had to do it twice per day but have now cut back to once. I also take Symax
