After starting Colestipol my D finally stopped! I’ve dropped
down to 3mg Budesonside.
I’m currently eating salmon, turkey, pumpkin, squash,
Green beans, zucchini, avodaco, banana, olive oil,
Honey and salt. I’d love to add more calories, like
Nut butter but my EnteroLab scores were all high (3/4) including
Almond, cashew and walnut.
Any other recommendations for a nut butter (not peanut!)
that doesn’t contain sugar and easy on the gut.
Thanks!

Re: Scared to add more food!!
If you're still hungry, or if you need to take in more calories, just eat larger helpings of the foods you're currently eating. There's no reason why you need to add more variety. You can deal with the possibility of adding additional foods, after you've been in stable remission for a while.

Thx Tex! Trying to also find food options that would be easy to take on a 3hr road trip to visit colleges with my son.
Re: Scared to add more food!!
We have one member, who hasn't posted in years, who always carried a pork chop in a plastic bag in her purse everywhere she went, so she always had a snack handy, if she needed it. Many members carry a bag of Lays potato chips or Fritos for snacks. Some carry aseptically packaged tuna and rice crackers for snacks. There are many possibilities. Fruit cups will work, because they are cooked, like all canned fruit. Just make sure such products are packed in a safe juice or oil.

Eating while travelling MC safe
I have survived 36 hour transits (Australia to France). and do all day events at classic car shows etc
- Cold meats / avocado
- pre cooked frittata with safe ingredients that can be eaten cold
- gluten free roll with cold meat and avocado. (or rice crackers etc)
eat a good breakfast of safe foods at home before you start travelling
