VitD and Mag recommended for 10yr old

Post by Erica P-G »

My grandson has a level of 29….he was life flighted to Seattle Childrens Hospital May 31….had blood on the brain due to a tumor rupturing….had a craniotomy and a 4cm tumor with blood clot removed. It is/was glioma so far it is graded 1-2…. 🙏🏻 But as we all know things can change and something like this is touch an go over the next 10 years.

My question is….he’s considered a cancer child now and need to know how much VitD/Mag to get his levels up to the highest end for this type of situation. He may even have a VitD receptor in his genes that doesn’t work completely (I know because I have it and I passed it to my son, we both had our dna worked up).

My intuition says 3000iu morning an night with minimum 400mag broken up into 200mg morning an night (using lotion and or tablet form whichever is tolerated best).

Thank so much…and I appreciate any prayers sent our way we continue to keep getting good health reports ♥️

Needless to say, that's a lot for a 10-year-old to have to deal with. I certainly hope he continues to do well. Regarding the vitamin D and magnesium doses, shouldn't those be prorated by body weight?

Thanks 🙏🏻♥️

Tex I understand the new rating for VitD in kids 4 and over is 3000iu…just trying to increase this level a bit quicker than waiting a year for his levels to get into the highest range…once into the range would back off to the 3000iu daily rate and 200mg magnesium ratio.

Just wondered if anyone has done this process with their kids. I know we have done something similar in our bodies while healing from MC/LC etc….

Thanks again for all prayers….Jace is being a warrior and so far no chemo/radiation so continuing to hope he bypasses this aspect of things. From reading your book on VitD Tex it is essential to get these levels into a good place so the body has the best fighting chance.

Hugs
Erica

I forgot to mention Jace is almost 5’ tall and 90 lbs…he’s going to be tall like his dad 6’6” 🥰

Erica,

I agree with you, he should be big enough to handle substantial doses of vitamin D and magnesium. I try to keep my vitamin D level between 60 and 80, as best I can, to optimize my disease resistance.

Thank you Tex for confirming this with me ♥️

My life has been a whirlwind lately….I always appreciate being able to visit here and talk amongst people and yourself who try to live as naturally as possible with what we’re dealt with daily.

Lots of Hugs 🤗
