SUMMER HYDRATION

Post by TREESE »

Hello, friends! At 70 yrs old, and in the middle of a New York heat wave, I need some safe-for-CC Hydration tips.

Pedialyte, a children’s hydration product very low in sugar.

Vita Coco Coconut Water: ingredients are coconut water, less than 1% sugar and Vitamin C listed last at 34mg per serving.
Other ingredients are Calcium 38mg, Potassium 470mg.
Phosphorus 12mg. and Magnesium 18mg.

Water

Please share your thoughts and experience…
Thank you! :conversation:

Have you seen this old post?

Polly is a pediatrician.

The coconut water you mentioned should be safe, based on the ingredients you listed.

Since I take a magnesium supplement three times a day, year-round, water works well for me. I live in Central Texas, and the temperature here has been averaging between 107 and 111° virtually every day, for about a month, now. That's actual temperature — not some artificial heat stress number, that the weather forecasters love to talk about.

Hello, TEX - Before Posting my question, I tried looking it up by entering the Topic in the Search Box because I was sure other people had posted about it in the past. But, I did not manage to find a post like the one you sent me the Link to. So, THANK YOU for stepping in!

And Thank You for your Own Reply to my question, also!

I am keeping a book now that I can use to refer to, so I won't have to Re-Ask the same questions I might already have once asked.

I hope you are well, TEX!

Take Care,

Hi, Treese. I drink Vita Coco coconut water & I don't have any issues with it. I don't drink it often, but it's a nice change from water & if it's my go to when I have an upset stomach.

Hi, Marcia!

I’m sorry for the delay, but I did not get an email saying that you replied to my question. I would have replied back to you much sooner than this!

Thank you for the information you provided on drinking Vita Coco coconut water! I feel much more confident about it since Tex’s and your replies!

I hope you are feeling well and again thank you very much for your concern!
