Cautiously Optimistic!

Post by Pam V »

Hi All,

I just wanted to give you an update to let you know that things seem to be going in the right direction! Following a flare that I just couldn't seem to get under control, I went back to a very basic diet and followed the Pepto regime for about a week. After a week with Pepto, I was feeling some side effects and stopped taking it (while continuing with a Step 1 diet). It's now been a week since I stopped the Pepto and my GI symptoms seem mostly resolved (if anything I seem to have a little C now instead of D). I'm continuing to take things slowly and will add some of my go-to foods back into my diet one at a time.
I want to thank you for your suggestions and kindness ~ this board offers so much support and is truly invaluable to anyone who deals with MC.

Best wishes ~
Pam

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
