Cholestyramine - NutraSweet or Sugar?

Post by amaguire »

Hello:

My gastro doctor has prescribed Cholestyramine was wondering what best option is as far as sweetener (unfortunately at the pharmacies near me no un-sweetened version is available). Thanks for comments wish you a great day!

Most of us react to NutraSweet. And if you Google it, you should be able to find research that shows that it's contraindicated even for anyone in the general population. Sugar is a much safer choice, although sugar should be minimized in the diet.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
