Vitamin K deficiency

Post by alim24 »

Is anyone else deficient in Vitamin K? I just got a message from my doctor saying I need a supplement because i'm deficient. (Explains the chronic nose bleeds I have and the constant bruising on my legs). Given MC absorption issues, is there a form that is most easily absorbed? I that read injectables are better for those with diseases like ulcerative colitis, but not sure about that..

HI,
Do you eat any animal products ie: meat, eggs etc?
If you do and you also take VitD3 and Glycinate Magnesium you should be doing ok, but it sounds from your tests you could use a supplement ....if additional Vit K is needed it comes in two types K1-is from all plant based products, K2-is from animal based products...if you eat meat this should rectify itself gradually. I don't take a current VitK2, but I did at one time when I couldn't eat anything due to reacting to everything. There are some good capsule forms allergen free, I hope you find one to your liking.
Cheers,
Erica
