Hello,
I was wondering whether there are any recommendations for work for us MCers, jobs that are low stress and are good for bathroom breaks? Jobs that would be useful for fatigue and brain fog would be helpful too. I’m guessing low commuting time would also be helpful depending on where you live!
Personally I’m not very skilled and have ADHD so I won’t be able to study (I really struggle), I get bored easily too.
Kind Regards,
Amy

Re: Job/career Advice
Amy
I have changed jobs numerous times to make life with health issues easier.
living in large city rather than capital city has helped a lot - reduced commuting time gave me quality of life
when I was first diagnosed I was living in large capital city, long commute, travel for work, long face to face meetings with customer etc
with fatigue I would have poop accidents on my drive home
after 12 months or so I moved to regional city - job with no travel, less commute and it made a HUGE difference.
12 years later - I have a job now that I am 10 minute commute from home. most days I am the only one at the main office site (it is a plumbing business with 11 employees) so the guys are onsite 95% of the time so I have ready access to bathroom
it has a small kitchenette that I can have my MC safe snacks and meals
It is not customer facing (customer contact is via phone and email) so I dont have dress corporately.
long term wellness is worth the effort of making changes if you can.
In past 12 months I have been approached by job agencies trying to get me for other roles, and the combo of having to commute 45 minutes and dress more corporately share bathroom with 20-30 people office is not worth the additional money they offer.

Re: Job/career Advice
Gabes, it sounds as though you have the perfect job! I walked away from a stressful career and it's been great! I think about getting something part time, and if I do it will be a position such as yours. Low stress & no drama. Life is too short to be stressed all of the time. Good luck in your job search, Amy.
