Is Enterolab still reliable for testing food sensitivities?

Post by jzing »

Hi all,

I want to get tested for food sensitivities. I recently saw some posts on Reddit by a (supposed) disgruntled Enterolab ex-employee who accused the company of negligent testing practices (among other things). I know Enterolab is very well thought of in this forum so -- is Enterolab still trusted among forum members? If not can you suggest some alternatives? Also, I'm in my first month of a course of budesonide (9mg daily to start) -- will testing provide actionable results while on medication?

thank you!

I haven't heard any complaints from any users, and as far as I'm aware, they're still a registered and fully accredited laboratory as far as the state of Texas is concerned. I doubt that you'd be able to find any company that has been in business for years, that hasn't had some idiot post some sort of complaint about them somewhere on the Internet.

There are no alternatives for accurate food sensitivity testing.

As long as you've been taking budesonide less than several months, your results should be accurate. After about six months, some tests may not be accurate, and after a year or more of taking budesonide, there would probably be a number of false negative results.

I hope this helps.
