Hi !

Im interested to read your update regarding bacillus coagulans. I have recently started taking the thorne version of it . Ive noticed slight improvements . Im not in a flare state or anything and have started it mainly as an aid and hope to futher improve my gut health. Did you notice improvements with anything else like regularity, motility etc... did this relay into better stool formation ? Ive read it helps regulate immune responce so could be something to take when the gut is in a state.

THanks !

I had my Colonoscopy and I am not healed. I have an appointment with a NP and I don't know how she can help me. I had Dr. Miller perform my Colonoscopy and he was excellent. He did a biopsy of my colon and I am NOT healed!! I had this done at the hospital in Beaufort, SC. Dr Miller wants me to talk with a NP and I don't know how she can help me. Dr Miller understands MC and I was surprised. Dr. Bowtie in Savannah, did not understand it. Dr. Miller works in Beaufort, SC, and is EXCELLENT! He is originally from NJ. I just finished my 5 packages of Cholestromine and two cups of protein drink that is delicious. I checked the ingredients and they are innocent. I mix it in to make the mixture palatable and I enjoy drinking my drink. The mixture after I boil it....is delicious. It amounts to 8 carbs which I put into my Omni Pod and it helps. Could popcorn be my problem along with chips and hot dip at a Mexican restaurant? My tacos are soft. I make sure there is no cheese with milk and I have re-fried beans with beef in the tacos.

What am I doing wrong? Dr. Fine stated in his report that I can have corn. I've always loved popped corn. Thanks y'all, Dorothy Rockwell Williams

The hot dip might be a problem. The refried beans might be a problem if you're sensitive to soy. I used to love to eat popcorn, too, but I had to give it up, because it contains so much fiber. A little shouldn't hurt, though, as long as you don't overdo the fiber.

Hi, I purchased Digestive Advantage based on your posted results. I was just looking at the packaging and notice that it contains wheat and soy - not good for those of us sensitive to those things! I feel now that I’ve wasted money on something that may be doing me more harm than good!

Whose posted results are you referring to? I can't understand why anyone here would recommend a digestive supplement in the first place, let alone one that contains gluten and soy. And yes, if you're taking a product that contains gluten and soy, it's definitely doing you much more harm than good.

Forgive me for jumping in but the post is regarding the Digestive Advantage supplement that contains bacillus coagulans.I read the same post but don't remember where it was or who said it. I believe it was referring to gas and bloating relief.

Hi Tex & Patty,

If you do a search for “Digestive Advantage”, you can find the post I was replying to. Otherwise, it’s hard to locate. Not sure why. The post was from cfurer on Jul 3, 2023…

Well, I checked out Digestive Advantage Intensive Bowel Support Capsules, and I have to conclude that's a very unusual product, because they appear to have gone out of their way to make sure that it contains gluten and soy (if, indeed it does). Maltodextrin and dextrin, for example are normally made from corn, but they can be made from wheat, or other grains. In the U.S., if they're made from wheat, or soy, they have to be labeled to prominently display those allergen on the label.

Why they (the manufacturer) are using wheat and soy, which are both more expensive than corn, and when everybody else in the country is using corn, is beyond me, especially since this is a product for treating digestive issues, which are well known to be associated with food allergies, in some cases. I don't understand their logic, unless they source their ingredients from all over the world, and they have no idea what those ingredients are actually sourced from, or maybe they don't trust their suppliers.

At any rate, I have a hunch that it doesn't actually contain gluten and soy, but since they're on the label, if I were buying of probiotic, I certainly wouldn't buy this one, unless I thought the manufacturer was just being overly cautious, when they printed the label.
