Sauces?

Post by PattyD »

I love sauces and am wondering if any of you have anything you use to dip things in. I'm in stage 1 of the diet so can't have dairy. Thanks for any help. I searched Dee's kitchen and didn't find anything.

most pre-prepared sauces would have ingredients that would be triggers

look at any paleo recipes
you can use home made bone broth/ fat to make a gravy, thicken with a safe flour and flavour with coconut aminos
you might be able to use coconut yoghurt as a base to make a dip with safe ingredients

I find that roasting vegetables with the fatty serves of meat negates the need for sauces

Good morning. Being in Stage 1 you are very limited. Try Googling gluten/dairy free sauces and you might find a Whole 30 or AIP recipe that you can tolerate. Until you achieve remission though, you have to be very careful. Best wishes on your journey to healing.

Thanks Gabes <3 I cook a lot from scratch. I'll have to restock my coconut aminos as I haven't used that in awhile as well as scour my grocer for coconut based yogurt. Sometimes when I overcook my fish I need a dipping sauce ;)
