General tiredness

Post by sketels »

Hello, I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with a feeling of General tiredness and lack of energy with Colitis and any tips they might have to help counter it. Thanks all.

Fatigue is a very common symptom
constant inflammation in the body depletes energy

hints to resolve
- low inflammation eating and lifestyle
- Vit D3 and magnesium
- active form of B12
- Co Q10 is good option for energy
- optimising sleep quality and rest periods so you can try and wake 'well rested'
- relaxation / meditation to help counteract any stress in current day life (stress depletes adrenals and makes us tired)

these are not quick fixes, it will take a few weeks/months to see gradual improvement
if you are deficient in key nutrients it takes a minimum of 6-8 weeks to start to fix deficiency.

Be patient, be diligent

Thanks for the advice. I was a little low on d3 but have been bringing it up. I haven't tried CoQ10, I may incorporate it into my regime. Most everything else you suggested I have been working on.
