I have to travel to Seattle this week. I’m only 1 week into a recovery diet. I scoped out Whole Foods and figure I might be able to buy ready made paleo salmon (salt, pepper, olive oil) and raw cut sweet potato or butternut squash, which I would need to cook.
How in the world does anyone travel AND eat?
Thinking of packing cooked meet. Maybe veggies too.
Any suggestions?

Re: Travel required - please help
1. make sure your accommodation has cooking function as part of the room
2. When travelling for work I would take some pre made safe meals frozen in small cooler bag/esky bag as additional luggage on the plane so I had some safe meals pre made (stew type meals with meat and safe veggies)
3. pre cooked meats, avocado are some of my safe snacks
4. If I had my safe breakfast, I could last the work day with snacks (meats on rice crackers type thing) until I got back to the accommodation at night
5. Back when I was travelling for work I also had rice protein powder that I could mix with coconut water if needbe.
I managed to do a 4 week trip to France (from Australia) for work within the first 12 months of my Dx. it was 36 hour transit each way
we have a travel section with lots of info

Re: Travel required - please help
Gabes,
Thank you for your advice. I did my best to travel with my own food, but it didn't work out perfectly, and I'm back to a flare.
I've tried to find rice cakes, but all appear to be made from brown rice. Do we need to stick with white rice only?
I haven't tried avacado, but if it worked, that would be a nice addition to my recovery diet.
Thanks for your advice!
