Looking for sweet treats that are safe. What about sorbet?

That depends on your current situation. If you're in remission, yes, that should be okay. But if you're still recovering, the large amount of sugar in fruits (in the form of sugar alcohols, and fructose, primarily) may cause problems. You might be able to handle small servings, but until we're in remission(or at least well on our way), significant amounts of sugar tend to cause problems. Excessive amounts of sugar can cause leaky gut.

And the fact that we're all different, means that what works for one of us may not work for someone else. It pays to be very, very cautious with our food choices while we're recovering, because our immune system tends to be hypersensitive until we've been in stable remission for at least a few weeks. The bottom line is, try a small serving if you can't resist something sweet, but don't overdo it until you've been in stable remission for a while. At least that's my opinion.
