A question for Gabes
Hello Gabes,
I've read many times that you recommend checking our cosmetics: shampoo, toothpaste, moisturizer... What exactly should I be looking for to avoid? For years now, everything I use has been non-toxic and organic, and I've been advised by a professional. But I understand you might also be referring to some ingredients that may not be harmful to most people but could be for us. Which ones are they?
I've tried searching on my own so as not to bother you, but the language barrier is a challenge for me. I use a translator, and it's hard for me to find what I'm really looking for.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you very much.
A big hug,
Marta

Pardon me for butting in, but there's a comprehensive list of ingredients that should be avoided in the post at the link below:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Re: A question for Gabes
You're not intruding, on the contrary.
The list is perfect.
I'm going to check my cosmetics.
Thank you very much, Tex.

thanks Tex for providing the link to the list
for me as I react worse to soy than gluten it was ensuring that none of my products had any soy derivative. 99% of Vit E in cosmetics is soy based
I am conscious of minimising alcohols and chemical based ingredients in all bathroom products
For soaps I use products that have minimal ingredients (no more than 5) and are fragrance free
hope this helps

Re: A question for Gabes
Hello Gabes,
I've gone through all my cosmetics, and not a single one is safe. They're all organic and free of toxins, but every one of them has at least one ingredient from the list in their INCI. It's really frustrating.
Now, I'm searching for alternatives, but it's a very difficult task.
Thank you.
A big hug
Marta

Hugs for your frustration!
this is a common part of the healing journey.
We remove the 'major triggers' and then after a period of healing mild symptoms return and it all these 'little things' that are causing inflammation
Prior to my MC diagnosis, I had weird keratitis that didnt respond to treatment. (the start of my auto immune journey).
Since then I have not been able to tolerate any eye makeup (mascara, liner etc)
