His symptoms are treated with large doses of PPIs and codeine.
It seems no gastroscopy is done or a colonoscopy
Some of those replying seem to have been diagnosed with MC which started in this way.

I wonder why he doesn't get a proper diagnosis. PPIs and codeine are going to slowly destroy his digestive system.
