You're asking a question that's difficult to answer without test results. Histamine intolerance can cause a range of gastrointestinal symptoms that can include bloating, abdominal discomfort, gas, diarrhea, or even constipation, but anal soreness is not normally a symptom of histamine intolerance. That said, I suppose it's not impossible, since histamine receptors are present across the body, but I've never heard of that symptom before.

It's somewhat common for MC patients who have experienced nothing but diarrhea for many years to experience anal pain for a while after they start to have normal bowel movements, but that's not a common situation, because most of us have not had diarrhea that has lasted for many years. The most likely cause of anal pain is hemorrhoids, an anal abscess, or an anal flssure, which would need to be diagnosed and treated by a doctor. Fissures are not particularly common, but they're not rare either among MC patients, because of the inflammation associated with the disease.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
