Thank You and Happy New Year!

Post by Pam V »

Good Morning ~

I wanted to stop in to say thank you for your support when I need guidance and support. I am coming off of a terrible flare that has been ongoing since early November. Tex, I appreciate your kindness and support! I am scheduled for my colonoscopy at the end of January - got a RX for Budesonide when I saw the NP in my GI's office 10 days ago. I haven't taken it and my symptoms have totally settled down so I am just going to keep it on my shelf. I had a lot of anxiety during November/December between the holidays and concerns about a potential link to an autoimmune disease that could be the cause of skin mottling. My blood tests came back and look fine, which is a huge relief and my GP said that we can just monitor going forward but not to worry. Perhaps it was just my nerves and anxiety that set the flare going ~ I'm relieved that symptoms have subsided.

This forum has been an incredible lifeline to me since I was diagnosed in 2017. I will check in from time-to-time and am grateful to have this support.

Wishing you all good health and a very happy 2025!
Pam

That's great news, Pam. Thanks for sharing the good news. Yes, stress seems to be a wildcard that can cause us to go into a flare that can be especially difficult to resolve. It's a shame that your holidays were spoiled, but at least you're starting the new year off on the right foot.

Happy New Year to you, and I hope it's a happy, healthy year for all of us.
