I’m so thankful to have come across this book. I now feel equipped to deal with it now that I know something (a lot actually) about it now.

Hi Colleen,

I see that this is your first post. Welcome to the group. I hope the book provides all the information you need to reach remission, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them anywhere on this discussion board.

Hello! Tex, I am posting this under the forum section about your books,.hoping that you can help my confusion! I just ordered your book "Microscopic Colitis" through a seller on Alibris, and I ordered a copy that said "revised version" on the cover. (The cover was mostly blue, a person standing with mountains behind them.)

What they sent me does NOT say "revised version." The cover has a photo of a dead tree with a cloud behind it. It is copyright date 2012. They told me I can have the option of keeping it at a 30% discount, or sending it back for a refund and trying to order what I want elsewhere.

Can you tell me what the difference is between the books? Does the revised version have a good deal of additional information, or is it just a matter of some minor corrections having been made? What do you suggest I do?

Thank you!
Joan

Hi Joan,

Yes, apparently they sent you the original 2012 version. As best I can recall, the revised version contains only a relatively small amount of research updates, and additions. Unfortunately, the wheels of progress regarding MC seem to turn excruciatingly slowly in the medical world, and not much medical progress had been made between versions, although there was some. Most of the changes that were made were updated website addresses for references, because the book has A lot of medical references, and quite a few of them no longer worked. As far as the sections on the basic descriptions, diagnosis, and treatments of the disease go, not much was changed.

I hope this helps.
