RE: Rashes

Post by annie oakley »

Hello, There are some of us that have rashes we didn't have before being diagnosed with MCC Or MC Or Lcc Or Ibs. We have discussed the rashes before....but I get a rash that is alot like escema and can be sightly. It attacks the skin around my nose, eyebrows, aroundthe mouth area. My question is this....is it possible for this to bother the lip skin. I have always had a problem with the skin onmy lips peeling.....and after Diagnosis of MCC I wondered if that could be part of it. It doesn't spread when touched. Itches like crazy. SO I have to be diligent about keeping my face clean. I can wear makeup if I wash it off everynight. I use a grapeseed oil for moisture (grapeseed is an antioxident) purly because I can't find a good moisturizer. And I use Nystatin when I flare. Or On the herb side I will make dandilion wash when I can get them. LOve Oma

Hi Oma,

Are you by any chance using isotretinoin? (Isotretinoin is an antiacne med.) It can cause such problems.

Mezereym is a homeopathic remedy for conditions of this sort.

No Tex...I'm Not using any Anti Acne meds. I have looked at that web site before. I have it bookmarked. I may look into this Mezereym and see. I will go back to the site and look. I was curious on whether my skin condition could also be the source for the peeling on the lips. Thanks for the reminder tho Tex Love Oma

Oma, my Natural Physician's Healing book suggests the following:

homeopathic sulphur (I'm highly allergic). this is a highy diluted preparation of this mineral and one of the most important medicines used by homeopaths today.

..........effects many of the organs of the body, specifically, it improves liver function and detoxification. ........has a profound effect on the entire digestive tract...........most commonly used for skin ailments.

Includes rashes, eczema, psoriasis, boils, cradle cap, and many other dermatological condictions. ..............also excellent for digestive conditions such as ulcers, diarrhea, flatulence, and IBS. Also common for insomnia and headaches.

Dosage - for rashes take two pellets of 30C potency twice daily for 2 to 3 days. This is for a recently gotten rash. Taken too frequently or at too high a dosage will detoxify too fast and the problem will get worse.

Love,
Mars

Thanks but if I get any where near the smallest amount of Sulphur...I will be in the E.R. real fast.
But thanks anyway. I am going to make some of my own mositurizer with chamomile, calendula, and grapseed. I would love to make a dandelion wash, but can't find any dandelions around here.
I keep some homeopathic meds around, but I need to replace them. Love Oma

Can dandelions be mailed to you? I have the ability to get TONS! Our yards are turning green coming into Spring and dandelions are EVERYWHERE!

You know, I never even noticed until you two mentioned them, but dandelions are scarce as hen's teeth in this area this year. I guess the abnormally dry fall and winter preempted the dandelion crop.

 Wayne, maybe Texas is different but I've never noticed ANYTHING slowing down the dandelions in northern Pa. In fact, it seemed they'd survive when nearly everything else was long gone.

Oma, wish I could send you all the ones that I know are thriving in our yard in Pa. Mars and I together could probably send you a lifetime supply.

Hey Mars....I don't know if they can or not....Let me see if I can find a site that will tell me if they can. The only draw back would be how they were shipped as they could mold I think....Don't know for sure.Let me find out. Thanks for the mission. Love Oma

Oma,

Just getting caught up and saw this.

Have you ever considered that your rash might be dermatitis herpetiformis? It usually appears on limbs and buttocks, but it can occur on the face.

Just a thought. Love, Jean

Oma,

I get very dry, cracking lips. Is that what you mean by peeling? I think there is something awry that I am so dry --- it can be a symptom of many different things. Not sure if yours is the same or not. Your moisturizers sound perfect! I've ben eating dandeloin greens myself.

I tend to trace things like eczema back to a food intolerance. Could there be something you are eating that you are intolerant to? Love, Celia
