Digging up our nutritional past

Post by moremuscle »

Hi Cave Dwellers,

By accident I bumped into this well written and easy article by an archeologist; I thought you might find it interesting as well since it is about the paleolithic diet in relation to modern neolithic diet. Notice how there is no mention of dairy in the article.

Karen,

Thanks. That's a very excellent article. It not only eloquently states the historical case for a high-protein diet, but it also makes the case for a diet utilizing lots of fruits and vegetables. It even outlines the current day dilema with our dietary ratio of omega-6's to omega-3's. It's a good summary of the various components of the paleo diet, that we need to remember and apply to our own diets.

I hope you add that link to the information forums.

Love,
Wayne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Thanks, Wayne - I appreciate your response and I am glad you liked the article; I agree that is sums up some of the main points of the paleolithic diet very nicely.
I followed your advice and posted the link in one of the info rooms. I wonder how many people find and read the information we post here. Any idea?

Karen,

I don't have exact numbers, but I've noticed a lot of guests reading the information forums, and newbies almost always read various posts there, before registering, so the information is definitely being read.

There's a guest reading the Personal Experiences with Medications forum, as I write this.
