Hi all,
Recently got a new pair of lens for my glasses, and used them more today than had in the first few days. Is it normal to experience a bit of eyestrain when adapting to a new set of lens?
On the other hand, it might be because the storm last night kept me awake, as well as the anticipation of it. I was already upset about Mom and other things in the beginning of the night, but when the weather alarm went off, all the constant warnings, sooo...hardly any sleep.
Lemme know what you think?
Yours, Luce

I Think It's Normal
Hi Luce:
I did experience a feeling of eyestrain when I first got my glasses. I think it just takes time for your eyes t adjust, but would suggest if it continues to go back to your optometrist.

Do something nice for you today
Luce,
Yes, I think that's not at all unusual. I just use half-frame reading glasses, but the last prescription that my opthalmologist gave me was so aggravating that after just a few minutes, I went back to my old prescription. Someday I may try them again, but I'm in no hurry as long as the old ones work just fine.
The unnecessary sleep disruption due to constant warnings about severe thunderstorms three or four counties away, is the main reason why I no longer have any use for those radios. Back when I used to use them, I found that in most cases, if we actually had a severe storm blow through, the radio alarm would go off about the time that the hail and high winds had subsided, and the storm was down to nothing but rain.
I'd rather take my chances on the weather, than put up with those guy's ineptness. After all, are you really going to pack up and leave, every time that they issue a severe storm or tornado warning? I'm not. I'd rather rely on my own eyes and ears and make my own decisions about that. That method has saved me many, many hours of sleep, over the years.
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Luce---without a doubt--
I always do but with me it could be more so cus I have the invisible bi's and thats an adjustment--
And like Tex---my old prescription is going to STAY!!! they are perfect and I am tired of arguing with lenscrafters--
This is a true story---last year I went back and had them put my old lens back into my new frames---
Well when I walked out --I actually felt cock-eyed---and when I got back to optomologist--he checked them and guess what???
Lenscrafters had put the lens---reversed!!!!
I wanted to go back and give them the *what for* but Lou said---forget it!!
Hope *mom* is doing ok--
