Another TRIP to MRI~~~thyroid now

Post by barbaranoela »

Well---the rewiring and etc. still isnt finished---email soon to follow--

BUT---went yesterday for CAT of lung and today went back to MRI for another appointment to do a scan of the THYROID---due to nodule--

The girl @ MRI---asked me if *I like visiting them*
No, said I---its a necessary evil---thank U

And how lucky us WOMEN are----seems this is very common among WOMEN!! WHY?? dont know--
Of course, U men do have other issues to contend with that we do not!!!
The BATTLE of the SEXES!!!

I luved the ENT Dr. and the entire staff--

And if it wasnt for my GP---checking around the neck area---and detecting this nodule--I would NOT have known I had an issue???

Also told---probably nothing to be concerned over!!!

Now I have to check a blood work up item----

my CREATININE has always been 0.9---this test showed 3.4??? and I looked again---it was a straight 34!!!! I am hoping that he forgot the *dot*
I think I shall call up about this--cus a raise in this is saying that my Kidneys arent working right!!!??? DUH!!!
It has to be a mistake---or else GP would have called me!!

RIGHT!!!

Barbara,

Concerning the elevated creatinine level--was your BUN, (Blood Urea Nitrogen), test result normal? If it was, then your kidneys are probably working ok. There are various possibilities, such as autoimmune issues, possibility of a kidney stone, etc. Creatinine can also increase temporarily as a result of muscle injury. Did you have this test done right after one of your more strenuous yoga sessions?

Wayne

Galahad!!!!!  I am a nervouse wreck over this reading---

I have no idea of the BUN reading?????

My last heavy Yoga workout was Sunday---which I had more ohs and ouches/groans from the one in AZ.

I already called his office and waiting for a call----

Looked @ afew sights for this creatinie and I shouldnt have cus now I am really in a *sweat*---

thanks Galahad---

will let U know what he says!!!

PS. this better be a mistake cus above the creatinine is the reading for Hematocrit which is also 34---and this usually runs in this range!!!
So maybe he copied the 34 down to the creatinine

Mrs. Columbo,

You may be right--someone may have copied down the wrong number. I wouldn't worry about it until they at least get their act together.

Doctors are always unnecessarily scaring people with their test readings and their mistakes.
