I think your starting diet sounds good. I think you will be able to add things, especially fruit, as you go along. Please keep us posted.
You hardly need rice recipies, because the rice is sooooo good from a rice cooker.

I've wondered about overeating a food and becoming sensitive. My theory is that one intolerance can mask the effect of another. I didn't find my multiple intolerances until I'd been gluten free for six months. Then six months after that, I found rice. Was it because I ate a lot of rice or because I was already intolerant? I didn't test rice until then, so I guess I will never know. BTW, I can now eat rice but I have only been brave enough to eat it once a month.

I really don't know which way it works, and it seems to me that both could be possibilities. They are both concepts that are spoken of by the 'experts' in delayed allergy responses.
I tried brown rice and wild rice last week and had a mild reaction. In my case that is peripheral neuropathy, not D. I might try the brown rice on its own again and see how I do with that.

Just a reminder......in case you haven't heard.........be sure to use only PLAIN rices. The "enriched" ones are a no-no, because apparently the substance used to make the vitamins stick to the rice is derived from barley (a gluten grain).

Thanks! Yeah I just read a few days ago that enriched rice is not GF! So I went out and bought a rice cooker so that I can get a multi pound bag of rice and just throw it in the steamer. SO that means all rice in a bag is out excpet for Succes Rice in a Bag BRown rice for some reason!

Dr Fine test shows positive for gluten and casien but negative for soy, eggs, and yeast
Maybe its UC maybe its MC? Who knows at this point, but at least I know my intollerances now... so heres to the road to healing!
